Carol Schram: Trade-deadline pickup Jonathan Dahlen ready to start with Vancouver Canucks Playoff teams didn't get much of a boost from trade-deadline acquisitions this season, but the Vancouver Canucks are looking forward to seeing what they've got in prospect Jonathan Dahlen, who was acquired in a deadline deal with the Ottawa Senators and signed his entry-level contract with the Canucks on Friday.

Thanks CS

Canucks don't have a fifth round picks so the SJ will be like recovering that pick . Hopefully we get CBJs second round pick also but I think we would be better off next year.

Thanks Carol. Kings filled their coaching spot from within. Sabers seem like a good fit for Green. Close by they have seen him a lot. So Nucks might lose him there if they don't bring him in.

Seems like there won't be any other known candidates available for Nucks. No hot seat vibes left out there. So only Dan Bylsma is in the market now. Any thoughts there? Any accociate or assistant coaches that are candidates?

I don't know if there is any legs to this rumor that Crawford would come here to coach with Green. Is that even workable?

People are nervous about replacing a rookie NHL coach with another rookie coach. Though they aren't the same type in style. So does fit make a difference?

No sh!t the burtuzzi incident, his bizarre communication style, frequent meltdowns, horrible voice and offensive hair. Do we need any other reasons? Nice guy and all but he can stay in Ottawa

Just release Gaunce already.... what does he have... like 2 career goals? This team doesn't need any more defensive minded 3rd liners.

Tryamkin can rot in Russia. Hopefully the Canucks will cling onto his rights so he cannot return for another 4 or 5 years till RFA is done. By then he won't be even close to NHL ready (he obviously refuses to actually get in shape). More ice time for Stecher/Hutton so I'm not mad.

That cup ring holds a lot of weight but I'll never forget that Crawford / Gretzky shootout snub. I think Wayne's still sitting there trying to figure it out.

Didn't you hear? Every European Soccer coach wants to coach hockey, so they can make a 10th of what they'd earn in Soccer and get fired every 3 years.

I was thinking yesterday that Montreal makes a great trading partner for the Canucks.

The Canucks should look at trading the Sedins to Montreal for a package containing Galchenyuk.
